Kolumna Zygmunta III Wazy

17th-century column with a statue of King Sigismund III Vasa, a popular meeting place

The statue of King Sigismund III Vasa, was placed on the column on 15 May 1644. It was the first secular monument in Warsaw. The total height was said to be 80 Roman feet, or more than 23 metres (today the column measures 22 metres)
