Pałac Prezydencki

The 18th century classicist seat of the President of Poland, where the elegant halls can be visited with a guide

The palace was built in the 1740s by Grand Crown Hetman Stanisław Koniecpolski and his son Aleksander, according to a design by Konstantin Tencall - the court architect to King Władysław IV. Only a few years after its construction, the palace became the property of the Lubomirski family, and in 1674 it passed into the hands of the Radziwill family of the Nieświeska line for almost 150 years. In 1768-1778, it was adapted for use as a theatre, and King Stanislaw August Poniatowski had his own special lodge
